Genesee Bus Lines, based in East Aurora,NY, was founded in 1939 to operate daily bus service between Buffalo,East Aurora,Wellsville,Hornell,
and North Java, serving the western part of the Genesee Valley. For highway coaches, Genesee Bus used Buick powered Flxible
Clipper buses on most runs. These were painted in a red and white paint scheme. The company was acquired by Grand Island Transit
Corporation in 1966, which continued the line service as it was during the next two years before dropping the Hornell branch,
the North Java branch having been dropped before1965, Genesee's final full year of independent operation.
